Description: Last of the Last: An exceptionally rare 1992 Peugeot 505 SW8 Wagon, representing one of the final Peugeot passenger vehicles produced for the U.S. market. Finished in Blanc Meije (White) over a Mouse Grey velour interior, this SW8 features three rows of seating, comfortably accommodating up to eight passengers. Power comes from Peugeot's durable 2.2-liter naturally aspirated Douvrin inline four-cylinder gasoline engine, part of the legendary family of engines jointly developed by PSA Peugeot Citroën and Renault during the 1970s and 1980s. Featuring a single overhead camshaft (SOHC) with two valves per cylinder and electronic fuel injection, it produces 120 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 131 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm. Renowned for its durability, mechanical simplicity, and smooth operation, the Douvrin engine perfectly complements the ride quality and refinement that made the Peugeot 505 one of Europe's most respected touring cars. This exceptionally well-preserved example has traveled just 87,800 miles, ... likely reflecting decades of careful ownership and stewardship. The "SW8" model designation represents: station wagon for eight passengers. The Peugeot 505 earned an international reputation for its exceptional ride quality, robust engineering, confident road manners, and outstanding long-distance comfort. The versatile SW8 wagon expanded upon those strengths by offering generous cargo capacity and genuine eight-passenger seating, making it one of the most practical and capable European wagons of its era. Very popular outside the Americas, world wide Peugeot 505 models were produced in huge numbers. Production spanned from 1978 to 1992 where a total of 1,351,254 Peugeot 505 units were manufactured in France. The 505 wagon models only represented about 5.5% of that total. In the Spring of 1989, after graduating from college, Ken worked for a multi-franchised dealership in Bountiful, Utah. In addition to Nissan, Buick, GMC, BMW and Lotus, the campus also housed the states only Peugeot franchise. While new and used Peugeot inventory was small, the 505 models in stock were really nice cars. I was struck by the comfortable seats, pleasurable ride quality and great European steering feel. Despite these positive features, the cars were difficult to sell and received very little attention or showroom traffic. Do not knock it until you have tried it. Peugeot built wonderful cars, that just did not translate well to the American market. The 505 line up also included a 4 cyl. turbo gas model, a more powerful V6 STX model, as well as turbo-diesel offerings. This wagon is the base model, with a 4 cyl. non-turbo gasoline engine. Peugeot Motors of America Inc. officially withdrew from the U.S. market in August 1991. During the 1991 model year, Peugeot sold just 748 examples of the 505—sedans and wagons combined—in the United States. The 1992 model year 505s were the last of the last - "perhaps" even being produced following Peugeot's departure from the American market? This makes them among the very last U.S.-specification Peugeot passenger cars ever produced and some of the rarest examples in existence. Ok, I think this is an amazing piece of automotive history as I was in my late 20's then - and followed this as it happened real time. Ten years earlier, I had followed with my eyes wide open when British-Leyland Triumph left the U.S. They waved goodbye in October 1981, giving us the amazing Triumph TR8 on the way out the door. Triumph TR8 production lasted until 1982 model year. This 505 wagon was assembled at Peugeot's historic Sochaux, France, manufacturing facility—the company's flagship plant and the birthplace of countless iconic Peugeot automobiles. For collectors and enthusiasts, the 1992 Peugeot 505 SW8 represents the end of an era—one of the final chapters in Peugeot's history in the American market and an extraordinarily uncommon survivor. This car will be offered soon on Bring A Trailer. It will be interesting to see the level of attention this car receives.

Description: Father & Son Covid project nightmare. It all stared innocently. "Lets see what is available with stick shift...". Then 16 year old son could continue accumulating his manual transmission seat time hours. Dad could relive his youth. What could go wrong? Dad had a 1978 Spitfire as his only car for two glorious years in 1987 - 1989. We purchased the car local to us in Carefree, AZ and drove it home. It needed a few things...but Dad had a plan. Mom took one look at it and declared we had made a poor decision. "Its a death trap... its too small" she proclaimed. "Can you sell it and get something else?" she asked. All we heard was get something else. So we did. A 2006 Porsche Boxster with manual transmission. Big shout out to Mom for her great idea...It was a wonderful car. One of our greatest overall Father & Son decisions ever - should have done this from the beginning. Back to the Triumph. Just like a big ball of yarn, the project started. "Lets fix a few things, make some improvements and offer it up for sale". I said. "No big deal, we will do fine." i coninued. The suspension geometry was all wrong. That was the first thing on the list. Then we updated the brakes, the cooling system, fixed a couple oil leaks, gathered up some new replacement parts, etc. When it came time to address the cosmetics, the plan was to upgrade the big black rubber bumpers with shiny chrome rumbers. I discovered a great guy on Craig's List, Richard. He polished up some great Spitfire OEM front and rear chrome bumpers and shipped them directly to my chosen repair shop, Sports and Collector Car Service Center in Tempe, AZ. The paint needed some attention, but I thought we could get away with a couple / few blends to eliminate some blemishes. Richard recommended a former apprentice he trained when he lived in Phoenix. Four Years Later ....the paint was still not done. Richard, the great guy from Craig's List agreed to help me de-horse the Spitfire from grasp of The Sloth. The Stevie Wonder of automotive painters. The Columbo of automotive decision makers. Quite possibly the slowest paint guy on the planet. Dropping the car off to The Sloth, was one of the worst decisions I have made as a grown ass man. Richard took delivery of the Spitfire in June of 2026. Richard runs a home based / ranch like British & Italian Sports Car repair facility in Hesperia California. Richard has been making fantastic progress! Lots of photos, videos and communication. Yes, the car is receiving a full glass out, close off, automotive respray. What could go wrong! Project completion should be by September of 2026-ish. Five years all in. Son completed two years of high school and is almost done with college. Dad continues to relive his youth everyday. The car, it will be very nice. Fresh mechanicals, all new paint, refinished OEM wheels with trim rings, new tires. Reconditioned interior. All new fluids. rebuilt weber carborator. Many new parts or reconditioned originals. Yes a fully restored, properly sorted Spitfire 1500. With the optional electronic overdrive. Simply flip the switch in the center of shift knob in 3rd or 4th gear.

Description: Only two owners from new with 11,639 original miles. Part of a collection, stored indoors and driven occasionally. Senior owner says time to slowly sell everything...if you have always wanted one of these - this could be your opportunity. Here are some fun facts about the 2005 Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 Coupe that make it one of the strangest and coolest performance cars of the 2000s: It was basically a hidden Mercedes-AMG. Underneath the Chrysler bodywork, the SRT-6 shared major components with the Mercedes-Benz SLK32 AMG, including its hand-built supercharged 3.2L V6 engine. The engine made 330 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. That was huge performance for Chrysler in 2005, and it pushed the car to 0–60 mph in under 5 seconds. It was the fastest Chrysler ever built at the time. Chrysler advertised a top speed around 158 mph, which was wild for a small hatchback-looking coupe. The car was assembled in Germany, not America. The SRT-6 was rare: Only about 2,400–2,500 SRT-6 coupes were built, making them much rarer than standard Crossfires. Production was handled by Karmann — the same company that built specialty European sports cars and convertibles. It only came with an automatic transmission. Enthusiasts still complain Chrysler never offered a manual SRT-6, even though regular Crossfires could be had with a 6-speed manual. It had staggered wheels straight from the factory. The coupe used 18-inch front wheels and 19-inch rear wheels with Michelin Pilot Sports — serious hardware for the era. The styling was extremely controversial. Some people loved the art-deco-inspired shape, while others compared the rear end to “a dog squatting.” The design still sparks arguments today. It became a cult collectible later on. The Crossfire SRT-6 sold poorly when new because it was expensive, but enthusiasts now appreciate it as a weird DaimlerChrysler-era AMG sleeper. It was one of the earliest SRT vehicles. Before Hellcats and Trackhawks existed, the Crossfire SRT-6 helped establish Chrysler’s Street and Racing Technology performance brand. The gauge cluster went to 200 mph. Completely unnecessary, but very cool. And if you want to hear one in action, this walkaround/review video is pretty entertaining:
