Description: This 2008 Mercedes-Benz CL550 Coupe was ordered new with the AMG Sport Package, which added body styling elements and the 19-inch AMG wheels. The included CARFAX vehicle history report shows steady maintenance by Mercedes-Benz dealers under previous owners, and just one report of minor damage in 2019. This was caused by an automated driveway gate contacting the passenger rear quarter panel. Aside from that repair, all the car’s metal and paint are reported to be original. The mileage, also corroborated by the Carfax, is low for the car’s age. The car stands out due to the clean and tidy paint and interior. Service and maintenance are up to date, the air conditioning blows cold, and the car currently does not need anything. This was the second year for the flagship C216 series CL coupe, a true “hardtop” with no B-pillar. Power for the CL550 came from a 5.5-liter V8 teamed with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The key to this car’s exemplary ride, handling, and roll control was the automaker’s electro-hydraulic Active Body Control (ABC) semi-active suspension. The car’s top-of-class luxury, safety, and user tech included climate-control seats and an infrared night vision system. The car’s safety features, including Distronic adaptive cruise control and Blind Spot Assist, were pioneering technologies for the auto industry. With just over 80,000 miles from new it is an impressive car for not a lot of money. Jeff says its a stud muffin - with a zero to sixty time of 4.5 seconds. Vroooom! Acquired 5/16/2025

Description: The R230 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG is a fantastic luxury convertible with handsome styling, a neat power-folding hardtop, and a muscular 5.4-liter supercharged V8. This particular example features a classic black on black color scheme and some nice factory equipment, including 18-inch AMG wheels, Active Body Control (ABC) suspension, multi-contour seats, and a Bose sound system. This SL55 AMG also touts no major modifications and reasonable mileage for one of these, both of which add to the appeal. THIS… is a 2003 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG, finished in black with a black interior. The attached Carfax history report lists no mileage discrepancies in this SL55’s past. According to the build sheet provided in the gallery, notable factory equipment includes 18-inch AMG wheels, Active Body Control (ABC) suspension, a power-folding hardtop, leather upholstery, power-adjustable, heated, and massaging multi-contour seats, and a Bose sound system. Notable modifications reported by the seller are limited to an Alpine head unit with a rearview camera and satellite radio antenna, and an Audison subwoofer. Called R230 internally, the first new SL of the 21st century made its debut for 2003 as a replacement for the venerable R129 model. It was appreciably quicker and far more advanced than its predecessor, it ditched the boxy lines for a sleeker and more rounded design that was aligned with the rest of the Mercedes-Benz range, and it came standard with a power-retractable hardtop. Production ended in 2011. Power comes from an M113K 5.4-liter supercharged V8 engine, rated at 493 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed automatic transmission.
